My brain keeps telling me it’s December. The last 7 months have been a whirlwind of mostly good things. I hope your year is starting of well, too!

I’m converting to Substack. The simpler interface makes much more sense to my brain. Not being overwhelmed by the number of things on the screen (like I was in MailChimp) should help me get updates out more often. YAY!

Hubs and I will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary during our upcoming Japan trip! I can't wait! I'll share pictures when I'm back. Promise!

I’m going through Guardian one more time for an “ARC Proof”. It’s going quickly, so expect the ARC read in February - the offer will got to the whole newsletter list.
Guardian Trivia:
Tatsu would totally be protecting Su-chan and Jiro from the host and hostess club touts in Kabukicho. (I’m making sure to update this in the “ARC proof”!)
Sumichou is the original name for Kabukicho. I figured a secret area under the real Kabuichou might pay some respects to that in its name. :D
In Threads Zine:
Issue number 4 of the free flash fiction zine based on daily prompts from each month will release February 3. Plus we’ll be doing read alouds of the stories at 7PM CST that day. Full details and links to come.
Why aren't you streaming as much?
Well, November and December were super stressful and I hit some major burnout. I’ll spare you the details. Though I managed a co-working stream once this month, so I hope to continue that. But I’ll warn you, coverage will be spotty due to family needs and travel.
Coming this year
Guardian (Liminal Chronicles Book 2) release. Alas, I’m still debating on exactly what month I’ll release Guardian.
I really want to put it out soon! But with the Japan trip, my daughter’s graduation, hubs’ job changes, moving the book website, volunteering in a writing group, running a short story challenge with a zine, etc., I’m feeling rather stressed. So I’m trying to tell myself that waiting will keep me sane.
Release will happen before July at the very least. When I know for sure, I'll share!
